Percy Jackson discovers that he is but the son of one of the greek gods. Yes, those greek gods. He's guided by his satyr friend Grover to Camp Half Blood, where the sons and daughters of the greek gods are trained for theit dangerous futures(of course, if they live that long). The series starts out with The Lightning Thief. The movie, no matter how good, does not do it justice. Percy is the victim of a prophecy that states he will determine the fate of the world when he turns sixteen. The years that build up to his sixteenth birthday are filled with adventure like no other. Percy and his friends experience battles with the beasts from greek mythology as Percy Jackson becomes a legend.
